The ACG Industrial Heartland project aims to provide emitters in Alberta’s Industrial Heartland with a cost-effective, safe and reliable solution to permanently store CO2. The project will be developed in phases with the potential capability of transporting and storing up to 10 million tonnes of CO2 annually when fully developed. In March 2022, the project progressed through the Government of Alberta’s CCUS process and was granted rights to explore an extensive amount of premiere pore space in the Industrial Heartland.
