Plug Power have begun construction on a $290 million electricity substation and state-of-the-art green hydrogen fuel production facility at the Western New York Science, Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Park located in the Town of Alabama, Genesee County. As North America’s largest green hydrogen production facility, the plant will produce 45 metric tons of green liquid hydrogen daily servicing the Northeast region.

Plug Power intend to construct the largest green hydrogen production facility on the west coast of the USA, producing 30 metric tons of liquid green hydrogen daily, serving customers from San Diego to Vancouver. The facility will use a new 300 MW zero-carbon solar farm to power 120 MW of Plug Power’s state-of-the-art PEM electrolysers.
