After a successful feasibility study, STEAG and thyssenkrupp are jointly delivering a project to construct a water electrolysis plant with a capacity of up to 520 MW. The plant will supply hydrogen and oxygen to thyssenkrupp Steel in Duisburg from the neighbouring STEAG site in Duisburg-Walsum. The consortium are all investing in the project but are also seeking private and public funding.
