Enbridge is developing the Open Access Wabamun Carbon Hub in Alberta, to support near-term carbon capture projects being advanced by project partners Capital Power and Lehigh Cement. Once built, the Hub will be among the largest integrated CCS projects in the world and can be scaled to meet the needs of other nearby industrial emitters. In addition, Enbridge has agreed to offer a significant equity interest in the hub’s CO2 transportation and storage infrastructure to local Indigenous communities.
