The World Cement Association, founded in 2016, is the largest independent organisation that works globally on behalf of the cement and clinker industry and its stakeholders, with offices in London and Beijing. The majority of our members are cement producers, ranging from the world’s largest companies, with capacities of 540mtpa, to some of the smallest, with capacities of 0.5mpta. Carbon13
We are Carbon13, the venture builder for the climate emergency. We are selecting and supporting 1000 entrepreneurs over 5 years ~200 ventures that have the capacity to reduce CO2e emissions by 400 million tonnes, or 1% of global emissions.
Twenty innovative carbon emissions-mitigating startups have been launched so far by cohort 1 and 2 of Carbon13’s Venture Builder for the Climate Emergency, across sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, and food waste. Cohort 3 will begin their entrepreneurial journey this April.
