Decarb Connect North America 2023 Awards

This year the Decarb Connect Next Gen Awards will be part of the Decarb Connect North America event to recognize and celebrate innovation. The event brings together exciting start-ups with the Decarb Connect Community in the energy intensive industries and the companies supporting their journey to net zero.

We invite applications for the awards which will be shortlisted by a panel of judges and will culminate in a series of pitches from the finalists. The final winners being decided by the judges and audience votes. The application deadline is February 11th 2023.

Next Gen Awards Categories

The categories have been inspired by the Department of Energy’s key technological pillars in the roadmap to industrial decarbonization, as follows:

CATEGORY 1 – Electrification and Decarbonizing Industrial Heat
CATEGORY 2 – Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS)
CATEGORY 3 – Low-Carbon Fuels, Feedstocks, and Energy Sources (LCFFES)

Eligibility & Application Criteria

The awards are open to start-ups at pre-seed to series A funding stage. Remember to apply before February 3rd 2023!

Entries will be considered based on:
• Innovation – How novel is the solution?
• Feasibility of the technology – What is the perceived TRL?
• What is the commercial strategy?
• Stage in their funding journey – How much has been raised?
• The size and nature of the addressable market
• What is the commercial strategy?
• The scale of the potential climate impact
