Panellists:
A LEED AP architect, Pat holds a Master’s in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and has served on their Alumni Council. She is past Co-Chair of the Committee on the Environment of the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, a member of the Board of Building Energy Exchange, a frequent lecturer and industry panelist, and an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council and Urban Green. Prior to joining UFL/ACRE, Pat worked in venture capital at Good Energies and consulted with startups in the building energy efficiency space. She was CEO of Watt Not, an LED lighting consultancy, and Build Efficiently, LLC. As a Visiting Scholar at Harvard’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, she assisted in translating biologically-inspired technologies into commercial products. She brings 15+ years of experience in the industry, connecting startups to sources of funding, customers, and business mentors.
Marzia currently works as Deputy Director for Strategy and Decarbonisation at Ofgem. Prior to this role Marzia was Director of Policy and Sustainability for Kaluza Technologies where she led the company to develop and publish their sustainability approach toward becoming carbon negative by 2030. Marzia has extensive experience having worked in the energy industry for over 25 years, the bulk of this experience was in California from 1996 to 2018. She helped design the California energy market post the 2000/01 energy crisis and now she is helping to design the UK energy market as we go through our own energy crisis. A global leader in energy transition and disruptive technologies Marzia has held many leadership roles spanning government, Fortune 500 companies, start-ups and non-profits. In addition to her role with Ofgem, Marzia is a non-executive board member for Harworth PLC.
Civil Engineer turned tech entrepreneur, Brittany is passionate about building a more sustainable future. She founded Qualis Flow in 2018 with fellow construction professional Jade Cohen, on a mission to help construction teams build more efficiently and responsibly. Qflow is deployed across the UK, Australia and the US with pioneering contractors, developers and house builders, tracking materials, eliminating carbon and reducing waste on live construction sites.
Hallam is Glass Futures’ Collaboration Lead and he sits across the membership team, project team, and business development team, helping to join the dots for Glass Futures members ensuring all their needs are met.
A chemist by background, receiving his degree in chemistry from the University of Teesside, which he completed part-time whilst working. He is currently studying part-time for his MBA at Durham University.
Hallam also chairs the UKRI TFI Future Leaders Group, helping to promote a collective voice for young professionals and a collaborative approach to decarbonising across the Foundation Industries.
