HIF Matagorda eFuels Facility

Carbon Utilisation, CCS Facility, Green Hydrogen HIF Matagorda County, Texas USA 2027 https://hifglobal.com/region/hif-usa

HIF USA will use renewable energy from the wind and a process called electrolysis to produce green hydrogen. The project will also capture CO2 and use a process of synthesis to combine the CO2 and Hydrogen to produce eFuels. The eFuel will create a way for existing infrastructure to become carbon neutral by continuously reusing and recycling the CO2. The Matagorda plant will be the first large-scale eFuels facility in the world and expects to produce approximately 1,4 million tons per year of eMethanol by 2027. It will provide over 4,000 jobs during construction, and will benefit not only Matagorda County, but all of South Texas.
