Prairie Horizon Energy Solutions, a collaboration between TC Energy and Marathon Petroleum Corporation, is a proposed project and is in an early stage of development. Located in Stark County, North Dakota, Prairie Horizon would produce low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia at a facility near Dickinson for industrial and agricultural use. Carbon from the production facility would be captured, transported and sequestered at a site in the region. If Prairie Horizon progresses, it would be part of the Heartland Hydrogen Hub which was recently awarded a potential grant from the Department of Energy (DOE).
