Now in it’s second year, the Decarb Connect’s festival connected over 400 senior execs from international hard-to-abate industries this year to kickstart their decarbonisation journey. The event mission was to accelerate industrial decarbonisation through collaboration innovation.
The festival brought together industrials, investors, policymakers, game changing technologies and innovators – all sharing evidence-based strategies and road maps that will inspire all stakeholders to rise to the net zero challenge. If you are responsible for defining industrial net zero strategy, or for implementing it, this is your cohort.
Spread over 3 days, the event convened a cross-industry audience to take part in live panels and keynotes, Q&As with senior decarbonisation leaders, project updates from around the world, 1-2-1 meetings, closed-door roundtable groups…and much of this is now available in the On-Demand library which you can access for only £199 + VAT.
60+ speakers shared insights and experience including:
Join a fireside chat with Blair Sturm, Process Sustainability and Energy Sr. Manager at Saint-Gobain, to learn how one of the world’s largest building materials and applications companies is decarbonizing both their facilities and operational processes. Hosted by Energy-as-a-Service provider, Redaptive.
Decarb Connect Europe brought together 350+ heads of corporate strategy, innovation, carbon management and technical strategy. The presenters and live attendees are all from hard-to-abate sectors including cement, steel, oil & gas, ceramics & glass, power, utilities.

Get the inside story from 30+ industrials, each implementing zero or low-carbon projects to tackle emissions; learn about how they are overcoming technical and systemic issues
Learn about the progress of projects in CCUS, green and blue hydrogen, & advanced energy efficiency.
Get the inside story on those companies pivoting to pursue carbon as a business model vs problem: what is the opportunity that they see, and how could it apply to y our sector?
The event showcased projects between major industrials and tech disruptors forging pathways to long-term decarbonisation, as well as the latest results of European projects in carbon capture, carbon reuse, industrial fuel transition, hydrogen-power industrial heat, tech and analytics. Attendees had the opportunity to find out how early stage tech is being scaled to meet the needs of industries in transition.
Cement manufacturers face regular production losses due to inefficiencies in their production process – like kiln throughput, cement or clinker quality, ammonia cost optimization and energy inefficiencies to name just a few. At the same time they also grapple with another, related challenge: reducing their carbon footprint, specifically regarding NOx and CO2 emissions. Stabilizing and optimizing the kiln is often key to reducing these inefficiencies, but with so many variables it’s a constant juggling act.
Decarb Connect North America brought together hundreds of heads of corporate strategy, innovation, carbon management and technical strategy responsible for decarbonization in North America. The issues facing hard-to-abate sectors are unique, and by convening sectors including cement, steel, oil & gas, ceramics & glass, power and utilities delegates were able to meet peers and potential collaborators all tasked with the same set of issues.
