Prax are targeting the capture of 1.1 million tonnes of CO2 per year at their Lindsey oil refinery site. The CO2 will be captured from refinery’s heaters and process units and will be transported and stored by Harbour Energy. This project is likely to be implemented in two phases; the first in 2027 and the second phase will follow in 2029. The project is one of 20 which has been shortlisted for phase-2 of the UK government’s CCUS cluster sequencing processs. It is part of the V Net Zero Humber Cluster alongside the Humber Zero consortium.
