In Slite on Gotland, Heidelberg Materials is currently carrying out one of Sweden’s most significant climate transition projects. Once fully operational by 2030, the new facility will capture up to 1.8 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, reducing Sweden’s total carbon dioxide emissions by 4 percent. The project has already been launched, and the technology is expected to be fully implemented and operational by 2030.
