Converting industrial waste pressure to clean energy

Mihir Desu of Pressure Corp discusses using industrial waste pressure for clean energy production

Our guest on this episode is Mihir Desu, Co-Founder of Pressure Corp – a development company that transforms industrial waste pressure into clean energy with a business model that requires zero capital from host facilities.

With up to 51% of energy generated for industrial use being wasted, disruptors across the ecosystem are tackling that stat in different ways. Mihir talks about the opportunity for tackling one part of this – the waste pressure that is created throughout pipeline infrastructure, power generation and industrial processes and the potential for converted it into clean energy. As well as looking at the market opportunity, the conversation also looks to the benefits in decarbonisation and ESG terms that projects of this type can have.

Decarb Connect supports the acceleration of industrial decarbonisation around the globe. We share insights and facilitate collaborations across the emerging decarbonisation ecosystem. We look specifically at the most energy-intensive industrials from cement, metals and mining, glass, ceramics, chemicals, O&G and many more and help connect them to technology disruptors, investors and advisors.

Through the Decarbonisation Leaders Network (DLN), our members (a cross-sector network of those leading decarbonisation in energy-intensive industries) share insights and experiences as they accelerate their Net Zero plans.
